Dr. Esther Choo, MD MPH is an emergency medicine physician and Associate Professor at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. Her research focuses on opioid and cannabis policies, health and workforce disparities, violence, and injury. She is co-founder and CMO of Equity Quotient, which uses concrete metrics to track gender equity within organizations. She is a past president of the Academy of Women in Academic Emergency Medicine, Senior Advisor to FeminEM.org, and President of the nonprofit Gender Equity Research Foundation. She is a national speaker on gender bias in health care and physician advocacy, and a regular contributor to SELF magazine and NBC THINK on topics related to racism and sexism
